I’ve managed to get through the first two chapters of Book Two. So far I’ve sat down and worked through an outline of the whole book. Just major bullet points. I broke those up into chapters and then started writing the comic proper. I do it all in my notebook so I can scribble around and move things. There’s just something so satisfying when you scratch out something you hated or can really underline three, four, five times something that you’re really excited about.
I’m going to go ahead and get these typed up and out for editing and then forge ahead with chapters three and four. I want to start drawing by the end of the month. So I’m trying to get everything written and – at least the first two chapters – edited by then. If the last two thirds of the book are still in editing while I’m penciling the first pages that’ll be ok. There’s a lot of meat on the bones and I want to take my time with the artwork.
If you want to see the artwork as it develops, check out my Patreon page! It’s updating very regularly with concept art, character sketches, and the Bestiary. (The bestiary is going to be featuring key creatures this month. You can get a good look at what’s to come).
Talk to you soon!
